About Me
I now live in Chelmsford, Essex and have lived here since 1971. I came here from Selby in Yorkshire.
I was born in the village of Hambleton in West Yorkshire, which is about four miles from Selby.
I later moved to Portsmouth because my Father was in the Royal Navy. I returned to Hambleton in the early sixties and went to the local school (far left) which was next door to my grandparents home (left).
After a couple of years in Hambleton we moved to Selby and I changed school and went to the Abbey School in New Lane. I went to this school until I was eleven and then went to what was then, a brand new school, the Abbots Road Secondary School.
My first job was at Gotch's Electrical where I started an apprenticeship as a Radio & TV Engineer. I did less than a couple years of the apprenticeship out of what should have been a five year apprenticeship. My next couple of jobs were in retail electrical sales.
It was in the second Store (Wetherells) that I met my wife Lynn. I was now seventeen and what I did not realise at the time was that my life was about to change forever.

Born here in my grandparents home in Hambleton in 1951, lots of happy memories here.
